Peter Mieras

Peter has lived and dived from all sides of the world ever since 1982 (25 years). For 16 years he was with a Dive Shop in the Netherlands and then with their Diver/Instructor Centre in France from 1999-2003. Since 2002 he has been an Accident Investigator for Recreational Diving, a PADI Master Instructor, and an EFR Instructor. Plus he has worked for 13 years as an International Marketeer. Back in 2003 he bought Rendezvous Dive Adventures in BC, Canada."BC offers incredible bio diversity underwater and is one of the few uncrowded dive places in the world. In addition to all of the underwater beauty, British Columbia also combines diving with great nature above water with an increasingly "Eco Aware" region."

Kal Helyar

Kal has been diving for over 20 years and has been in the Dive Industry for more then 15 years. He has been in the Charter business since 1991. Most his diving experience has been in North America. He quotes in regard of BC, "British Columbia, Canada has Shore Diving, Wall Diving, Wreck Diving, Boat Diving, Current Diving, Drift Diving and soooo so much more!"

Barb Roy

Barb splashed into the cold water scuba diving scene almost 30 years ago in 1979. She opened her first dive shop in Anchorage, Alaska (1980) and currently freelances in BC and across the world as a photojournalist. She took over Innerspace Productions and brought it up to Canada in 1997. In her line of work (journalism) she has had the opportunity to travel to many wonderful places around the world. Barb states, "I enjoy BC's awesome selection of dive areas to choose from year round. I've never seen such a wide array of marine life that British Columbia has to offer, anywhere else in the world."

John deBoeck

For 35 years John has been diving across the world to places such as Caribbean, Mexico, Fiji, New Zealand, and of course here locally in British Columbia. He's been in the Diving Industry for 28 years now and started his Charter and Dive Resort in 2002. Mr. deBoeck, "There are more moving critters per square meter than I have ever seen anywhere else. There is always something happening on every dive and every dive is different, especially in Browning Pass!"

John Theobald

John has been running his manufacturering business for 12 years and has been involved with the Diving Industry for more than 20 years. He's a local BC diver who dives mainly in Canada. Why go anywhere else when everything a diver can possibley dream of is right here in your own back ocean? John's words, "British Columbia has a rich diversity of marine life and so many dive sites to choose from."

Jand Breckman

Scuba diving has been apart of Jan's life since 1980 and she became involved with the Diving Industry shortly afterwards in 1982. She has been running Blue Adventures Dive Charters for the past 8 years. "BC has a unique topography, it's very wild and is easy to get to. The marine life is so colorful. Also, if you dive here a lot, you'll become very proficient & confident in your skills!"

Ed Singer

For more than 25 years in the diving scene, Ed has been diving it up! Ed has been in the Diving business for 22 years (since 1984) as a store owner and a commercial diver for 23. He dived quite a few places around the world and believes he still has more dive places to go! What he like best, "Not just a sandy bottom, but diversity of life, including vegetation. British Columbia is unlike anywhere else in the world!"

Scott Friesen

Scott and his wife bought Alpha Dive Services in Powell River, BC back in August of 2006. He's a retired Naval Clearance Diver of 22 years in the service and has dived all around the world. Both coasts of N. America, Bermuda, Hawaii, S. China Sea, Norway and the list keeps going on! What he likes most about BC, "the diversity of life, from large marine mammals to the tiny nudibranchs. From the diverse underwater geography, nice sandy beache shore entries, to sheer walls that drop to 600 meters deep! All within a short distance from each other."

Darryll Harasemow

Darryll has been in the diving business for 20 years. Liquid Heaven was incorporated back in August of 2005. Their store in Sidney opened last January of 2006. He has extensive scuba travelling experience across the whole world. Every trip that he has taken out of the country has revolved around scuba diving. Darryll believes the west coast offers a diversity virtually unseen anywhere in the world. Incredible scenic islands, dive sites that cater to all levels of divers plus a heartfelt & warm disposition of British Columbians, welcoming people from all over the world.
